is quarter flared with turned under wavy petal margins; opens orange
(41B); matures light orange (41D); 4mm (3/16”) long x 6mm (1/4”)
wide. SEPALS are half down, tips reflexed; red (53D), light pink (49B)
base, tipped light green (139D) upper surface; dark red (53A0, white
(155C) base, tipped light green (139D) lower surface; 18mm (11/16”)
long x 7mm (1/4”) wide. TUBE is light pink (49B); medium length, thick;
17mm (11/16”) long x 9mm (3/8”) wide. STAMENS extend 4mm (3/16”)
beyond the corolla; light pink (49B) filaments; pale yellow (1D) anthers.
PISTIL extends 12mm (1/2”) below the corolla; pink (50D) style; light
pink (49C) stigma. BUD is elongated. FOLIAGE: dark green (147A) upper
surface; medium green (138B) lower surface. Leaves are 69mm (2 ¾”)
long x 38mm (1 ½”) wide, ovate shaped, serrated edges, acute tips and
rounded bases. Veins are light green (138D); stems are light green
(138B) & grayish red (181C); branches are grayish red (182B).
PARENTAGE: [(‘F. magdalenae’ x ‘F. fulgens grandiflora’)
x ‘Wendy van Wanten’] x ‘Prince Syray’. Small upright. Self
branching. Makes good upright. Prefers overhead filtered light, cool
climate. Best bloom & foliage color in filtered light. Tested 3
years in Herpen, The Netherlands. Meise 8-14-04. Distinguished by flower
color.
