AFS description:  ‘Herps

Vuurvlinder’ – No 8606 (Waldenmaier 2015) Single. Upright. COROLLA: quarter flare, round shape, smooth petal margins; opens & matures rose (52B) edges, changing to white in center; 19mm (3/4") long x 26mm (1") wide. SEPALS are horizontal, tips recurved; rose (50B), tipped green upper surface; pink (52D) tipped green lower surface; 36mm (1 7/16") long x 13mm (1/2") wide. TUBE is rose (50B); medium length, thick; 19mm (3/4”) long x 11mm (7/16") wide. STAMENS extend 5mm (3/16”) beyond the corolla; pink (49A) filaments; light pink (49C) anthers. PISTIL extends 5mm (3/16”) beyond the corolla; pale pink (49D) style & light yellow (5C) stigma. BUD is globular. FOLIAGE is dark green (137A) upper surface; medium green (138A) lower surface. Leaves are 67mm (2 5/8") long x 38mm (1 1/2") wide, ovate shaped, serrate edges, acute tips, rounded bases. Veins, stems & branches are green. PARENTAGE: (F. splendens tetraploid x F. fulgens Gesneriana tetraploid) x ‘Golden Glow’. Medium upright. Makes good upright. Prefers overhead filtered light. Best bloom & foliage color in bright light. Tested 3 years in Herpen, The Netherlands. Fuchsia Nieuwigheden Certificering. Distinguished by bloom color.
